Policymakers, employers, health professionals, and patients must act collectively to ensure
continued active participation in work and society and a high quality of (working) life. These are
the preconditions for both physical and mental health, fulfilment, prosperity and social cohesion.
Yesterday I spoke about the Fit for Work project at a conference on ‘Health and Prevention at Work’ organised by the European Confederation of Independent Trades Unions (CESIS) in Rome. The Fit for Work Europe Coalition works to promote a multi-stakeholder dialogue on musculoskeletal disorders to drive clinical practice and health and work policy that will improve the quality of working life for people with MSDs.
